Brendan Frasier is back, older but definitely not wiser. The Mummy:Tomb of the Dragon Emperor hit the screens all over the world this Friday and we were there to catch the action. The response has been lukewarm with audiences still reeling over you know what. Also on this episode is Brad Bird’s Ratatouille, Pixar’s 8th full length feature film. We start a new segment called Movie Vault where me and Chaitanya dig up from our archives and recommend a movie for you. Check out the various tabs on the top of this page for more insight.

The file size this time round is half the last time though the episode is roughly as long. You can find this week’s episode at Episode 2: Eastern Mummy and Gourmet Rat

For those who still want more of Ratatouille and think we havent gone bonkers as we talk about the philosophy and core of this ‘rat’ movie we have an extended episode which can be downloaded here. The best part about it is the unedited complete version of the awesome Anton Ego speech at the end of it

The links for web listening are here for Episode 2 and E2 extra

You can then listen to the podcast on your computer or transfer onto a cd or mp3 player like any other music.

Footnotes:

We learn this week that though podcast thing gets better by practise it is not really an easy job and we apologise for the patchy sound at some places.

Btw a podcast can be paused and then played whenever we want :P . We are really sorry that we cant shorten the length considerably lower than what it is now as long as we have the content.

There was a problem with the feed and people are not able to hear the main episode while subscribing through feed or itunes. Only the Ratatouille extra is streaming. So here I put the links for the main episode again.

Download from here and listen through streaming here.

P.S: Yep now the feeds work perfectly.

The second step

Thanks everyone for listening to our show and giving your valuable feedback. We promised a review of Ratatouille and something other than a review for the next show. Its tedious work and thanks to the multiple crashes of audacity we had to record thrice before we could get the review done. Exasperated with after what happened yesterday and the Friday release of the third instalment of The Mummy saga looming near, we have decided that the next episode shall come out this saturday along with the review of The Mummy : Tomb of the Dragon Emperor and the other segments. Until then happy watching and check out the interesting links I found.

Your guide to the WALL-E controversy

Yes, yes yes. We are here finally and what else would we talk about at this time. The very same thing that is on everyone’s mind! TDK aka The Dark Knight. Batman is back and we are all going berserk at what we have witnessed. We also review QT’s cult classic Pulp Fiction.

We had fun and ended up surprising ourselves with what came out.

You can then listen to the podcast on your computer or transfer onto a cd or mp3 player like any other music.

Footnotes:

At the time of recording TDK had around 47 k votes today it has around 91k votes and we now doubt if it is going to come done at all on its own. Only something else has to displace it.

Here we go!

After 2 months of contemplation and deliberation, we have finally made it.

Too much cinema – where cinema is everything( or life.. we are still fighting about it): simply says it all. We can never get enough of this wonderful medium of entertainment and learning. Delight, anger, surprise, heartburn, love, worship and among other things are all part and we love it more for this precise reason.

We try and capture the magic and madness of the flicks we watch and let you know what we think. We might go over the top or ruin it all. Make great observations or miss blatant facts. You are as much as a part of too much cinema as we are. So without second thoughts let us know what you think.

we are available here and thru mail –> toomuchcinema@gmail.com. Add us on gtalk and leave us voicemail.  You might never know you might feature on the show ;)

Look out the first episode is not so far away :)
